Today, the company is run by Giulio and Luciana, who have passed on their knowledge and love for viticulture to their three daughters, Paola, Federica, and Valentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, they passionately and professionally manage all aspects of the business, from grape cultivation and winemaking to wine sales and hosting guests. Ca\u2019 del Baio oversees 31 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Barbaresco, Treiso, and Trezzo Tinella. The first two villages are part of the Barbaresco region, while the latter belongs to the Alta Langa area, renowned for its white wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the grapes for Ca\u2019 del Baio wines are grown on their own fields, and the wines are exclusively varietal. The white wines are crafted from Moscato, Chardonnay, and Riesling grapes, while the red varieties include the region\u2019s signature Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto grapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most prestigious Nebbiolo vines are between 25 and 40 years old. Their grapes are used to produce the house\u2019s top wines: Barbaresco Asili and Pora (Barbaresco), as well as Vallegrande and Marcarini (Treiso).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four generations of the Grasso family\u2019s dedication and love for the land have made the Ca\u2019 del Baio winery successful, with its elegant and aromatic wines highly regarded across Europe and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Key Achievements:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2024, Enrico Bernardo (World\u2019s Best Sommelier 2004) ranked Ca\u2019 del Baio among Italy\u2019s top 100 wineries for the magazine&nbsp;<em>Vigneron<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Giulio Grasso was named Best Grape Grower of 2016 by&nbsp;<em>Vini d\u2019Italia<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 2019,&nbsp;<em>Forbes<\/em>&nbsp;recognized Ca\u2019 del Baio as one of Italy\u2019s top 25 Barbaresco producers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cadelbaio.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ca&#8217; del Baio<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 1921, Luigi Grasso founded a traditional family business, which has grown over time through marriages and land acquisitions.
