Brunello di Montalcino is one of the famous wine of Toscany and also of Italy.
Year: 2008, 2010, 2012
Grape: 100% Sangiovese
Alcohol content: 15%
Area: Montalcino
Characterization: Brunello means in local dialect beautiful dark. And it is very dark and elegant red wine. The cherry, plum and leather flavors are accented by oak spice in this modern-styled red. Deep black almandine with black reflections. The bouquet is powerful and smoky, with moderate berry fruit supported by considerable greenish cedar mingled with some spice. On the palate it’s ample, quite ripe and with prune fruit. Tannins are smooth and flow into a brighter than expected tannic prune finish. Extremely fine, concentrated fruit core with crunchy tannins. Lots of promise for the future. Drink in 2014–2022
